When not playing or writing music, he enjoys reading, yoga, meditation, making ceramics, film photography, and analog recording. The Piano Practice provides full-service piano care. In 2015, he established the Little Ear Apprenticeship Program and held weekly meetings on tuning, voicing, restringing, etc., training an apprentice to become a full-time piano tuner/tech.
Since graduating from his apprenticeship in 2013, he has tuned and repaired thousands of acoustic pianos, fully restored antique pump organs, and also regularly services electronic pianos like Fender Rhodes and Wurlitzers.
